Almost there...
Tomorrow I leave for Hawaii for an 8 day vacation I desperately need. I'm almost done
packing except for things that need to be charged and toiletries that I'll need in the
morning. I've successfully convinced myself I don't need to bring 4 pairs of shoes; 3
should be plenty.

Now I just need to figure out what I've forgotten.

Remember, we are going to a civilized place - there are stores and things, there's even a Walmart or something like it down in lihue... _Mark_

Well, yes, I don't actually think we're going to spend a week on the barren tundra, forced to scrape
lichen off of rocks to survive. But I do need to indulge my paranoia every now and again.

hawaii has one of the most diverse populations of fruit flies of anywhere on earth.
go goggle at some geological phenomena for me :-)
